Here is how you can take advantage of MailHawk's stellar sender reputation to get your emails past the spam folder.
How to add MailHawk to your site
- Install MailHawk
- Create a MailHawk account
- Choose a plan
Connect MailHawk to Groundhogg
Go to your WordPress administrative dashboard and navigate to Groundhogg > Settings > Email. There will be a button at the top asking you to Connect MailHawk.
Create your account
You need to create an account, enter your email, the desired username for logging in later, and your desired account password.
Choose your plan!
MailHawk has generous plans to choose from, pick the one that suits your needs!
Authorize your site!
Once you've signed up, you'll be asked to authorize your site to use the MailHawk sending service. Click the Authorize button.
Register your sender domains.
MailHawk requires you to register your sending domains, after authorizing you will see the screen below, select the email address you plan on sending from. and then click Next.
Configure your DNS.
This step is optional but recommended. You can greatly improve your deliverability by adding 2 records to your DNS zone. Instructions to complete this are provided by MailHawk!
Select MailHawk as the sender in Groundhogg
You may have noticed a warning has appeared.
Don't worry! Go to the Groundhogg email settings and select MailHawk as the sender for all email types.

MailHawk will now send all your emails from WordPress! You should deactivate any other SMTP plugins you might have active as they will likely conflict with MailHawk.
If you have another SMTP plugin activated or you have set up Groundhogg > Settings > EMail Outgoing to Marketing/ Transactional to something other than MailHawk, you may see this alert.
