This guide walks you through creating and embedding a web form, step by step.
Step 1: Create a Funnel
A funnel is a series of steps that guide contacts toward a goal, like subscribing or purchasing. To get started:
- Go to the Groundhogg dashboard and click "Funnels."
- Select "Create New Funnel" and give it a name (e.g., "Lead Capture").
Step 2: Add a Web Form Step
- In the funnel builder, click the "+" icon at the top of the funnel.
- Choose "Web Form" from the list or drag it into the workspace
Step 3: Edit Your Form
A default form is generated for you, but you can customize it:
- Add fields like "Name" or "Email" by dragging them from the sidebar.
- Style it: Pick a theme (e.g., "Modern" for a sleek look) and use the color picker to match your brand.
- Add custom CSS for advanced tweaks if needed.
Step 4: Embed Your Form
Choose how to share your form:
- Shortcode: Copy it into a WordPress page or post.
- JavaScript: Embed it on external sites.
- HTML: Use with third-party tools.
- Hosted URL: Share a direct link to a standalone form page
