Contacts: Profile Picture

A contact’s profile picture adds a visual touch to their record in Groundhogg, making it easier to recognize them in your contact list or reports. By default, Groundhogg uses the WordPress Gravatar associated with a contact’s email if they’re linked to a user account.

Three Ways to Change the Profile Picture

  1. Update the Gravatar Account
If the contact has a WordPress user account tied to their email:
    • Visit gravatar.com, log in with the contact’s email, and upload a new image.
    • Groundhogg will automatically display this image in the contact record.
  2. Use a Plugin to Upload a Custom Image
Install a plugin to override the Gravatar with a local image:
    • Add a plugin like One User Avatar to your WordPress site.
    • Go to Users > Profile for the linked user, upload an image to the media library, and save it as their profile picture.
    • Groundhogg will display this image instead of the Gravatar.
  3. Add a Profile Picture via Metadata
Manually set an image URL in the contact’s metadata:
    • Open the contact record and click the More tab.
    • Add a new metadata field with the name profile_picture.
    • Enter the full URL of an image (e.g., https://example.com/myimage.jpg) as the value.
    • Save the changes, and the image will appear in the contact’s profile.
