Postmark Integration: Connect to Postmark with the email API
Basic SMTP can be slow, so Postmark has a REST API that can deliver emails much faster!
How to setup Postmark Integration (included in plus plan or above) to deliver emails via the Postmark API.
Install the PostMark Integration
Go to Groundhogg > Settings > Email
Set the Outgoing email to Postmark
Create an account on https://postmarkapp.com/. You will be sent an email asking you to verify the "From:" address as the Sender Signature. If you want to use another “From” name and address to send emails, visit Add and verify other Sender Signatures (or remove the ones you no longer need).
Visit your Postmark dashboard and you will see Postmark has set up a server named "My First Server".
Click on the API Tokens to gather the API key to use.
Enter the API key provided from your Postmark account into the Groundhogg > Settings > Email
Click the [ Test API Connection ]
This should be all this is required! The Postmark Integration plugin will set up the webhooks automatically.
The last step is to add the DKIM and Return-path information to your DNS and verify. This lets ESPs (email service providers) that you are actually the person sending the email. You can use a site like Learn and Test DMARC to see what you currently have set up.
If you want to set them up manually the steps below can help with that.
If you want to add the webhook manually to the Default Broadcast Stream and the Default Transactional Stream by clicking their links, choosing "Webhooks" and using the [ Add webhook ] button.
*Postmark Integration at this time can only connect to the default streams.
The webhook is gathered from visiting Groundhogg > Settings > Email, scrolling to the bottom where you will find the Postmark webhook URL.
Copy it and paste it into the webhook URL field.
Under Which events should we send? Check all the boxes.
