Web Form Widget(Block)
The Groundhogg Web Form Widget is a WordPress block designed to simplify the process of embedding forms into your posts and pages.
Prerequisites
- A WordPress site with the Groundhogg plugin installed and activated.
- At least one Web Form was created within Groundhogg’s funnel builder.
- Access to the WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) on your site.
1. Access the Block Editor
- Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
- Navigate to Posts or Pages in the left-hand menu.
- Either create a new post/page by clicking Add New, or edit an existing one by selecting it from the list.
2. Search for the Groundhogg Web Form Widget
- In the block editor, click the "+" (Add Block) button. This is typically located at the top-left corner of the editor or within the content area where you want to insert the block.
- In the block search bar, type "Groundhogg" to locate the widget in the Blocks library.
- Once it appears, click the Groundhogg block to add it to your post or page.
3. Configure the Web Form Widget
- After adding the block, you’ll see a select field("Select a Form") within the widget settings. This dropdown menu is automatically populated with all the web forms you’ve created in Groundhogg’s funnels.
- Click the dropdown and choose the specific form you want to embed. For example, if you’ve created a "Newsletter Signup" form or a "Contact Us" form in a funnel, it will appear here.
- Once selected, the block will display a preview of the chosen form directly in the editor.
4. Customize (Optional)
- Depending on the Web From settings the appearance of the form (e.g., fields, buttons, styling) is determined by how it was configured in the Web Form Benchmark.
- The block itself doesn’t offer extensive customization options beyond form selection, as its purpose is to embed the form as designed.
5. Publish the Post or Page
- Once you’re satisfied with the form placement and selection, click Publish (or Update if editing an existing post/page) in the top-right corner of the editor.
- Your form is now live! Visitors to the post or page will see and be able to interact with the embedded web form.
