Why are tag and email dropdowns not loading?

If you have just installed Groundhogg and you are unable to select tags or emails from dropdowns it may be because there is an issue with the REST API on your site.

This generally happens because of caching, in which case please see our article on caching compatibility, or because your site's permalinks are set up incorrectly, in which case you should follow these steps.

If the steps below do not help, please try enabling safe mode to see if the issues are being caused by a plugin conflict.
